Packed with practical writing assignments its aim is to provide immediate impact on writing impactful intros, local story flow and using appropriate story structures. This is not a grammar course but common grammar and writing errors are tackled. Participants will receive individual feedback on weaknesses and strengths and a checklist to improve their writing skills.

Targeted at newsroom leadership, this workshop examines managing yourself, managing people, managing newsroom processes and managing change. Developed with a depth of understanding of newsroom challenges, the workshop seeks to hone both management and leadership skills in the media.

This practical workshop looks at time management, networking, preparations for stories, organizing your research and writing for clarity – in short working smarter on deadline.
Social Media for Journalists
This one-day workshop on effective interactive social media tools such as Twitter and Facebook is targeted at all communicators: journalists, public relations practitioners and advocacy managers. This introduction to the social media landscape gives practical guidelines on how to use social media to collect and disseminate information – and measure its impact.
